This hotel really exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was fantastic - from the beautifully decorated rooms with en-suite bathrooms of the highest quality, to the lovely fresh baked bread at breakfast. I especially enjoyed the view of Thorp Cloud from my room's large picture window, it was such a peaceful sight. Speaking of breakfast, the fresh scrambled eggs made with local sourced ingredients were absolutely delicious. The hotel's location was also perfect for setting out on hikes, with Dovedales just a short walk away.
All was perfect, nothing to complain about.

We had a truly delightful stay at this lovely bed and breakfast. the warm and attentive owners made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We were welcomed with a pot of tea and a delicious cake, which was a lovely touch. the building itself is beautiful and the large private bathroom in our room was a great bonus. We also appreciated the bathrobes provided, adding an extra touch of luxury. the tranquillity of the place was so refreshing, and we enjoyed beautiful walks right on the doorstep, surrounded by stunning scenery. the location was fabulous, and we even walked to Dovedale, which was a fantastic experience. Another highlight was the presence of farm animals in the garden, adding a charming touch to the overall atmosphere. the sumptuous home-cooked breakfasts were absolutely delicious, and the view from our room was simply breathtaking. the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, even staying up until past midnight to welcome us when we were stuck in traffic. We truly slept and ate like royalty during our stay, with super soft sheets and the most amazing breakfasts we've ever had. Hillcrest House Bed & Breakfast truly exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Peak District. Cons: Nothing everything was great! 👍.
